Planning for the third Bruny bird festival is well underway with an even larger program of activities for you to enjoy. Dates are 23-26 October, 2014.

Exciting new options this festival include
New features to explore at Inala Nature Reserve - Opened in March 2014 the Inala Nature Museum and Jurassic Garden feature specimens of aeons past and are sure to fascinate. Also a new Forty-spotted pardalote viewing platform to enable a closer view of nesting birds.
Labillardiere Estate opens for festival participants. Adrian Dale & Allegra Biggs Dale have generously opened their 1500 acre private reserve for self guided walks and a guided walk by swift parrot researcher Dejan Stojanovic.
Partridge Island boat trip in the amazing sealegs amphibious boat skippered by Adrian Dale- for experienced bird watchers to assist Dr Sally Bryant undertake survey of Forty-spotted pardalote colonies.
Photographers' workshop and bus tour. Presented by renowned bird photographer Chris Tzaros, these sessions will give the keen photographer tips on equipment and in the field techniques drawn from many years experience.
Twitchathon!! - the inaugural Bruny Bird Festival twitchathon. Great fun to be had in this competition to identify the most birds over a 24 hour period.
Festival dinner - moved to a much larger venue so more can attend this popular occasion.
